For those of you who follow me on Instagram, you'll have seen my progress in updating the Bookbag Backpack!
We've left the main construction technique (which you all love) alone and instead improved the photos, updated the straps method and made the pattern itself lovelier! Where before there were two separate versions, we've combined the photo heavy and the text only version into one. Now you can open one file, go to the text only pages and just print those.
We've also made it a smaller file so it doesn't take up precious extra space on your computer...more space for other patterns, right?
I made my cover bag from Poetic Saddle in Iris with Rhythmic Hatch Dream for the straps both from Bari J's Anna Elise line for Art Gallery Fabrics. I used 'Gumdrop' by Kona Cotton for the accents.
My shiny 'Made in Great Britain' bag label came from the Emmaline Bags range stocked by Bobbin Girl.
I used some eyelet lace trim cut in half to trim my front pocket and back strap support, I think it pairs really nicely!
The newly released pattern is available to buy on Etsy and Craftsy. I'll be back to show you the Testers' versions and Emma from For My little Monster has a great tutorial to share with you for that ginormous front pocket!
The only question is, what are you going to make your version in?
