Let's recap.

Here's how I looked last Wednesday.

Then Taryn came, saw and conquered my barnet.

Then I looked like this.

Ok, so here's your warning. If you're thinking about having your hair cut short, don't expect to look good when you wake up.

p.s. I have no idea what's going on with my goooglie eyeballs, they're cute ain't they!

There is no front view because I pulled a grawpy face. Yes, I did just make up a word. No, I don't mind if you use it and claim it for your own.

Anyhoo.....I gots me a pixie cut! My absolutely wonderful hairdresser Taryn squealed when I asked her to cut it for me this morning. I did tell her that if she advised me not to then I wouldn't force her to cut it short but she went through the pros and cons with me and then we agreed maturely (ok, I jumped a bit) that we would go ahead and chop, chop, chop.

Seriously ladies, if you're near Merthyr, Aberdare etc and you need a haircut...give Taryn a call. She charges £17.50 for a ladies cut and blow dry, comes to the house, and I trust her so much as I've never had a bad cut. You know, we've all had the bad cuts from the salons etc. I've never in 2 years had a bad cut from her. Also, because she comes to your house it's so much more comfortable for people like me who get anxious leaving the house.

Check out her wedding hair portfolio here. I've never seen so many beautiful brides! I had Taryn do my wedding hair and she only charged £40, and it was amazing, better than I could have imagined!

Anyway, so, moving on from Taryn my amazing hairdresser...I got a pixie cut, what do you think?

The day after a french plait

Ok, so it was my first go at a French plait but dus said it looked 'nice' so who was I to argue.

The day after though....check out my hair....!

No heat curls take 2

So, not deterred by the shocking failure of my no heat curls exploration, and encouraged by your comments of trying it with wet hair....I once more set out on the journey towards curly hair.

I washed my hair and whilst wet applied some mousse. Then I rolled it up using some tarn (T shirt yarn) as the headband. Goodbye forehead marks!

We all know the drill, you may laugh now!

So I slept on it and the next morning it wasn't just the wrapped hair that was looking worse for wear!

Showered, dressed and time to unwrap.

I spent the whole next day feeling like Selma from the simpsons. It was so massive after a night's sleep! On the upside...my hair stayed 'clean' for 5 whole days!! I did have to tie it back for those 5 days but I didn't have to wash it :)

No heat curls FAIL!

Ok, so we've all seen the tutorials out there for no heat curls so I thought I'd give it a go. I have absolutely masses of super fine hair and curls never seem to stay so I thought....bring it on Mr Elastic headband!

I was thinking of you Shosh at the time :)

She's a bit weird cos she says she'd go out in the day with the elastic band in...urm, yeah, ok then.

Anyway, I followed her instructions exactly but only left it in for a couple of hours. It was too tight on my forehead! I had the elastic band mark literally all day!
